by Troy Hennig
Marysville, CA (May 8, 2017) – The
West Coast Sport Mod Tour takes center stage this
Saturday night at Marysville Raceway. With over 40
cars expected, this Saturday nights race will feature
top drivers from all up and down the West Coast.
The tour is led locally by the Cooper and Bartlett
families and last week produced 41 cars in Merced. The
race will be a good test for our top Saturday night
competitors like Phillip Shelby, Mike Smith, Jeff Bye
Jr., Thomas Reynolds and Anthony Doubledee. This race
will allow them to size up how good they are when all
the out of town drivers show up. Championship point
race #5 is shaping up to a big night of racing.
On top of that, the speedway will be recognizing all
moms in attendance. This Saturday night, all moms will
be admitted for just $9.00. We hope to see a lot of
families in attendance taking out their mom to a great
night of racing.
The pit gate will open at 3 PM
while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM.
Starting this Saturday, the pit meeting is being moved
from 5:30 PM to 5 PM in hopes of getting the
