The Mighty Midgets Return to Marysville Raceway by Troy Hennig
Marysville, CA (July 18, 2017) – The Might Midgets of
the Bay City Racing Association (BCRA) are headlining
point race No. 12 this Saturday night, July 22nd. This
traveling cast of open wheel super stars will feature
close competitive racing at the ultra-fast
quarter-mile dirt track known at Marysville Raceway.
The B.C.R.A. features an extensive history dating back

Cofer from Macdoel, CA. This standout 18-year-old
female is the current overall point leader with 558
points. The B.C.R.A combines the dirt track and
pavement races into an overall champion. The series
also has separate dirt track and pavement points. The
dirt track portion of the points is led by Bakersfield
standout Cory Elliot with a total of 307. Redding’s
Alex Schutte holds down the second spot with 257
points. Danny Carroll sits in the third spot with 239
points and is only three points ahead of rising
superstar Michael Faccinto. Coffer rounds out the top
five with 223 points.
Front grandstand gate
will open at 5 PM. The pit gate for the competitors
will open at 3 PM. Racing is scheduled to begin around

B.C.R.A Midgets are the wingless sprints, economy
sprints, super stocks and midget lites.
Spencer has opened a huge lead in the wingless
standings. He has been the dominate car of late. The
real battle is between Bruce Morrow and Paul
Vandenburg for second. Only one-point separate these
Winged Economy Sprints continue to be led
by Adam Ermolenko. He holds a hefty 61-point edge over
Cameron Haney Jr.
James Castleberry continued
his winning ways the last event the Super Stocks raced
at and holds an eight-point cushion over Mike Walko.
Emilee Lindgren picked up her first career win in
the Midget Lites division back at our track on June
17th. She will look to repeat this Saturday night.
Joining her will be Scott Kinney and Dakota Albright.
