After the heat races are completed, the races will pause, and the kids will take center stage. The Crate Sprints will enter the night with just two more nights of championship racing. Following this Saturday night, September 7th will decide the track championship. Koa Crane leads the division with four wins. Krane holds a 25-point edge over Matthew Kaiser. After last Saturday night, the Crate Sprints have had eight drivers attend all the races this season.

There was a big shake up in the 360-winged sprint car points. After Drake Standley’s violent flip in the heat race this past Saturday night, the team was not able to present his car for the main event. This was a terrible situation for the Standley team No. 54s, and they earned zero main event points. Dawson Hammes went on to win the race. Carson Hammes moved into the point lead after Standley’s flip. Carson leads bother Dawson by just nine points with three races to go. Standley fell back to third and is now 32-points behind Carson. Only four drivers have attended all nine races this season. Both Hammes boys, Drake Standley, and fourth place in points Dryver Dothage. Making his return this Saturday night is Sparks, NV Mike Monahan. The two-time former track champion has not raced in a year and we look forward to seeing his return.

The best battle at the track involves the Hobby Stocks. Kyle Cheney and Howard Law are tied at 371 points. Cheney has five wins, while Law has two. If either of those two falters, Jason Clayton Sr. sits just 15-points back in third. Top rookie contender Matt Beardslee holds down the fourth spot. Willy King has risen the rankings of late and is now fifth in points. Seven drivers have attempted all previous eight starts. After Saturday night, only one more point race remains on September 7.

The IMCA Sport Mods has two more nights of racing. Raymond Lindeman leads the charge. Lindeman holds a five-point edge over Mark Garner. Lindeman has one win this season while Garner has two. At this point these are the only two drivers to attend all six previous races. The battle for third through fifth is tight. Jimmy Ford sits in the third spot. Ford is 42-points back of Lindeman and has 174 total points. Shaun Merrit has 168 points, while KC Carpenter has 166 points. Just eight points separate those three drivers.
