It’s Go Time; Loree and Sherm Toller Memorial Kick off 2022 Race Season
Marysville, CA – (2-21-22) …The 2022 race season at Marysville Raceway officially gets started this Saturday, February 26th. The open-wheel themed night of racing is in tribute to former track employees Loree and Sherm Toller. The Toller’s were ambassadors when it came to auto racing in Northern California but shined while working at the Raceway. Sherm was a roving infield reporter while wife Loree was a scorekeeper. Their presence is still missed on race nights at Marysville Raceway.
The race will start earlier than normal. Pit gate will open at 1 PM. Front grandstand gate set to open at 4 PM. Cars are schedule to hit the track shortly after the front gate opens. Ticket prices for this night of racing are $18.00 for adults, $15.00 seniors, juniors, and active military with a card. Juniors aged 6-11 are $6.00. Five and under are FREE. As always, parking is FREE in the grandstand area for the fans.
Fans can avoid lines on race night and purchase their tickets on-line at www.marysvilleraceway. Once at the website click the tickets tab. There is an added fee from the ticket processing company to buy through their website.
The winged 360 sprint cars will race for a staggering $2,000 to win main event. Mark Hall, Mel’s Transmission, is putting up an extra $100 towards the winged cars. Joining the winged sprint cars will be the Crate Sprints and Wingless Sprints. A large car count is expected to kick off the racing season.
The Raceway is doing a first come, first pick $10 tee-shirt promotion this Saturday only.
