MARYSVILLE RACEWAY
(June 28, 2021) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fast Cars, Family and Freedom Celebrated this Friday Night
Fast cars, family, and freedom will be celebrated this Friday night, July 2nd, at the Action track of the West, Marysville Raceway. The track is excited to host this event after missing out on this great family occasion last year. Four action packed divisions are set to entertain the fans until the lights go out and the gigantic aerial fireworks get shot into the sky. Throughout the evening, patriotic themed music will be played, traditional great food and drinks served, and all the excitement a family can muster in one special night. We also want to see your best red, white, and blue clothing to set the tone for this patriotic night of fun.
Pit gate for the competitors will open at 3 PM. Front grandstand gate will open at 5 PM. Cars will hit the action-packed quarter-mile oval dirt track around 5:30 PM. Fireworks will start once all the races have ended.
Winged 360 sprint cars, Crate Sprints, Limited Late Models and IMCA Sport Mods are all on the docket to thrill the crowd this Friday night. The stars and cars will be on display to represent the stars and stripes.
To make things even easier, Marysville Raceway unveiled a new online ticket sale platform for the fans. Please visit our website www.marysvilleraceway.com and then click on the tickets tab. A new page will open and from there you can buy your tickets. Tickets purchased online are $18.00 for adults, $15.00 for juniors and seniors. KIDS 11 and UNDER are FREE when accompanied by a paying adult. Please be advised, there is a $2.00 fee associated with each purchase on-line.
Championship points are on the line for all four divisions this night.
Grass Valley’s Billy Wallace leads the winged 360 sprint car charge this Friday night. Wallace is the most recent main event winner and holds a solid 43-point lead over second spot Kevin Lovell. With the Friday night race upcoming, Auburn’s Andy Forsberg and Lincoln’s Tanner and Blake Carrick will make a rare appearance.
Grass Valley’s Bret Youngman looks to make it four in a row this Friday. Youngman has ben perfect this season, winning all three Crate Sprint main events. Can someone dethrone the champ?
Jimmy Ford leads a cavalcade of IMCA Sport Mods into battle this Friday. This is only the 5th show of 2021 for the IMCA Sport Mods. Todd Cooper, Brian Cooper, Andrew Peckham, and Phillip Shelby are the previous winners this season.
Also, for the fourth time this season, the Limited Late Models will roll into Marysville. Jay Norton with two main event wins has been the class of the field. Defending track champ Dan Brown Jr. has picked up the other win. Rod Oliver is nipping at the heels of Norton and looks to get that first win of the year.
