Chico, CA (June 6, 2018) …. Mike and Carol McCann, owners of Cherry Street Mini Storage, have once again offered an extra $500 to the winner of this Friday night’s 25-lap sprint car main event at Silver Dollar Speedway. The McCann’s have been long time supports of not only Silver Dollar Speedway but Sean Becker and Menne Motorsports. Becker will be back in the familiar No. 75 this Friday night. “Mike and Carol continue to amaze me with their generosity towards winged sprint car racing at Silver Dollar Speedway,” said Becker. With the bonus money, the Friday night sprint car winner will receive $2,000.
This Friday at Silver Dollar Speedway is presented by the good folks at the Alliance Kingdom Builders (AKB).
On a side note, this is one of the rare weekends that both the IMCA Sport Mods and Winged 360 sprint cars can race for the 20 percent bonus if a driver can make the feature events at Silver Dollar Speedway, June 8th, and Marysville Raceway the following night June 9th. There is no bonus for either division if a driver ends up in a B feature at one of the tracks this weekend. The 20 percent bonus is applied to the Saturday night finish at Marysville Raceway only.
The new payout for 20 or more sport mods will be $350 to win, $250 for second, $175 for third, $125 for fourth and $100 for fifth. Sixth on back will pay $75. If the race attracts 19 or less Sport Mods the winner will be paid $250 to win and the standard purse applies.
