410 Sprint Cars Roar Back Into Marysville Raceway
Marysville, CA (May 26, 2015) – For the second time in 2015 the race fans at Marysville Raceway will get to hear the load and aggressive sounds of 410 cubic inch motors this Saturday night, May 30. The popular 410 winged sprint cars are joined by the Super Stocks, Limited Late Models, Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks.
The pit gate will open at 3 P.M. while the front grandstand gate will open at 5 P.M. Qualifying for the winged sprint cars will begin at 6 P.M. with racing to follow. General grandstand admission to this event is $12.00 for adults, $9.00 for juniors, seniors and military with ID. Children, ages 6 to 11, are $6.00. Five and under are free. With the King of the West Series dark this weekend and no races scheduled on Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway, promoter Dennis Gage is giving an extra incentive to race either a 410 or 360 winged sprint car at Marysville Raceway. The winner of the 25-lap sprint car main event will receive a hefty $2,000 payday. Gage is also offering a minimum of $200 to start. On top of that, he is offering a 360 bonus. The highest finishing 360 winged sprint car will receive an extra $250. In fact, the top four finishing 360 drivers will receive a bonus. Second highest finisher gets $200, third highest $150 and fourth $100.
The exciting Super Stocks are set to return this Saturday night. The speed this division produces is spectacular and is a must see main event. Cortney Dozier and James Castleberry are the two previous winners. Local celebrity Jerry Bartlett has been close but not able to secure his first win on the year.
Howard Law is the current point leader of the Sport Mods division. Law holds an eleven point advantage over Kyle Cheney. Alan Furuta, Jason Ferguson and Jimmy Ford are all intertwined for the third, fourth and fifth place positions. Out of town driver Fred Ryland has won two of the previous three races held this season. Law has the other main event win.
For the first time in 2015 the Limited Late Models will hit the quarter-mile dirt oval this Saturday night. The popular division boasts big cars and great drivers.
