Fast Cars and Freedom Wednesday Night at Marysville

Marysville, CA (July 1, 2019) – This Wednesday night, July 3rd, Marysville Raceway will host the annual Fast Cars and Freedom event. Fans can expect a fun night of grass roots dirt track racing followed by a gigantic aerial fireworks display. Fans can also expect American themed music all night along over the PA system along with the best American themed concession foods with cold refreshments. Of course, the racing on the quarter-mile clay oval raceway is always fast and fierce. At the completion of the final main event, the sky will be lit with an amazing display of fireworks. This is something the whole family will enjoy.
The pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Race cars on the track at 6 PM.
Adult (16-62) admission into the grandstands is $17.00. Juniors (12-15), seniors (62 +) and military with ID are just $14.00. Kids 11 and under are FREE. As always, parking is FREE at the Marysville Raceway. The only place to buy your tickets before the event are at www.marysvilleraceway.com
This rip-roaring and soaring night will feature four action packed divisions led by the popular winged 360 sprint cars. Joining the nights racing action include the IMCA Pepsi Sport Mods, Crate Sprints and Super Stocks. This is a can’t miss show!
Chico’s Michael Ing will look to continue his winning ways this Wednesday night. Winner of five main events this season, Ing holds a 36-point edge over Yuba City’s Korey Lovell. Others competing should be Reno’s Mike Monahan, Grass Valley’s Pat Harvey and Gridley’s Alec Justeson.
Grass Valley’s Brett Youngman leads Kiely Ricardo by just 12-points in a captivating Crate Sprint championship battle. Cameron Haney Jr. sits third and looks to grab his first main event win of the season. Fourth place driver in points but with two wins is Nick Larson. Can Larson get back to victory lane this Wednesday?
Live Oak’s Matt Micheli continues to be the favorite in the Super Stock division. His three wins are a season best for this division. Richard Vander Ploeg sits second in points just 12 back. We are hopeful to see Jerry Bartlett and James Castleberry return to their stomping grounds to entertain the larger than normal crowd for this event.
It’s been a while since we have seen the IMCA Pepsi Sport Mods rip around the action track of the west. Todd Cooper is the current point leader. He holds a 15-point edge over Andrew Peckham. Cooper has one win while Peckham has two this year at Marysville. The IMCA Pepsi Sport Mods usually put on the best races of the night and expect fireworks on the track in this division before the real aerial ones gets launched into the sky.
