As Good As It Gets
Marysville, CA (August 9, 2016)…Hollywood could not of written a better script. Going into this Saturday night Rio Linda’s Cody Lamar and Grass Valley’s Jeremy Burt are tied for the winged 360 sprint car track championship. Their season long battles have had every twist and turn imaginable; however, the best part about this script is that the ending has not been written.
General admission into point race #14 is $13.00 for adults, $10.00 for seniors and juniors and military with I.D. Children ages 6 – 11 are $6.00 while kids five and under are free. Pit gate opens at 3 PM with the front gate opening at 5 PM. Family pass is available for $40.00 and includes two adult tickets and three kids 11 and under.
Joining the winged 360 sprints this Saturday night, August 13th, are the economy wing sprints, super stocks, hobby stocks and Pro 4 sprints. Wyatt Brown holds a comfortable advantage over Nathan Johnson in the economy wing point standings. Brown leads by 21 points.
Super stocks have been a focal point all season long. Phillip Shelby holds a seven point edge over James Castleberry. Both drivers have felt the spoils of victory lane this year.
Hobby stock drivers get to close out their season with one final point race. Anthony Doubledee was awarded the win last race and holds a dominating 31 point lead over James West.
Pro 4 Sprints last appeared at Marysville on June 25th. Tonight will mark their sixth race of the season.
Once this Saturday comes and goes, we will be back on August 27th, point race #15. That night we will hold championship point racing #15 and Kids Bike Night.
