Bright Lights Shine on Taxi Cab Open

Marysville, CA (October 18, 2017) …..One of the most anticipated events is taking place this weekend at Marysville Raceway. The annual “Taxi Cab Open” features an array of stock cars vying for extra money on the line. The last two years over 80 cars have entered this Saturday nights extravagant show. Five divisions will showcase their driving talents led by the Limited Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hobby Stocks and Street Stocks.

Fans will be entertained this Saturday night at a low admission price. Adult general admission is just $13. Juniors and Seniors are just $10. Kids six to 11 are $6. Finally, children 5 and under are Free. Speaking of free, as always Marysville Raceway offers Free parking.

Cars entering the event should comply with Chico or Marysville rules to run a specific class. Cars outside those rules might be moved up a division. Pure Stocks must comply with the Placerville 2017 rules. Cars can run in two divisions without additional charge, but must race in the main event to get pay. This Saturday night, there is no entry fee for the competitors. Normal pit fees do apply.

This past weekend Marysville Raceway added new lights that brighten up the show for the fans. This will be the first weekend for the racers to get on the track and see the difference. As always, there could be some mystery prizes and red flag specials during the evening. The “Taxi Cab Open” marks the second to final show of the year at Marysville. The following Saturday night is the Sprint Spooktacular featuring a wide assortment of open wheel sprint cars.
