Final Show of the Year at Marysville Raceway

Marysville, CA (October 27, 2017) …. This Saturday night, October 28th, will mark the twenty-fifth and final event held at the Marysville Raceway in 2017. After a successful season, the track hosted 10 different racing divisions, a successful Monster Truck Show and an electrifying firework show in tribute to July 4th, the final race is upon us. The Sprint Car Spooktacular presented by H & H Trenching, will feature some of the best open-wheel sprint car drivers up and down Northern and Central California Valley. The fans will be treated to winged and non-wing sprint car racing. It will also mark the debut of the Western Racesaver 305 Sprint Cars that predominantly reside in Central California.

With the theme of Halloween dangling in front of this weekend’s event, kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. There is also a face painter scheduled for the kids and blow out merchandise items from our novelty booth.

The Spooktacular format will comply with the normal weekly show. Qualifying for the winged 360 sprints, heat races and main events. Other divisions will do a draw show for starting spots in their heat races. Officials do have the opportunity to customize format based on car counts. The talented Gary Thomas will be on hand to announce. “I want to thank my mentor Troy Hennig for giving me the opportunity to announce this big-time show,” said Thomas. “He is attending a wedding on Saturday and wasn’t available to announce.” He added, “I am looking forward to bringing my skill set on the microphone to the fans at Marysville and excited to see some great racing this weekend at one of California’s finest tracks.”

The winner of the 30-lap winged 360 sprint car main event will receive a handsome $2000. If 10 or more cars show up for the wingless division, they will run for $750 to win. Same with the economy sprints, if 10 or more show up this division will run for $500 to win. All winged 360 sprint cars participating in this Saturday nights race must run Flowmasters. No exception will be allowed by track officials. A large car count is expected in all five divisions.
