Gold Fever Taxi Cab Open

Gold Fever Taxi Cab Open

Marysville, CA (October 11, 2015) – One of the most anticipated events of the year is taking place this Saturday night at the Marysville Raceway. Stock car enthusiasts rejoice as the Gold Fever Taxi Cab Open will bring out the best drivers to showcase their driving talents. Promoter Dennis Gage has scheduled six different divisions to race the tricky high banked quarter mile hidden gem known as Marysville Raceway.

The IMCA Sport Mods have been added to the show. They will use IMCA rules but it will not be a sanctioned race. If over 17 Sport Mods show up they will race for $300 to win. If 25 can show up the winner will receive $500. TB Graphics is giving away a $175 gift certificate to the fifth place finisher in the main event.

The pit gate will open at 3 P.M. while the front grandstand gate will open at 5 P.M. General grandstand admission to this event is $12.00 for adults, $9.00 for juniors, seniors and military with ID. Children, ages 6 to 11, are $6.00. Five and under are free.

The Limited Late Models get a rare chance to flex their muscle this Saturday night. Always a fun division, the limited late models are geared to put on a great show for the fans. Ryan McDaniel was unbeatable at Chico this year and should be a favorite. Duane Cleveland is a championship caliber driver and another local favorite.

Super Stocks with wings are one of the funniest divisions that run for a championship at Marysville. Jerry Bartlett, this year’s champion, will lead a cast of likable characters into battle for their final race of 2015.

Jimmy Ford won a well-deserved mini stock championship and gets one final shot to add another victory to his mantle for 2015. A huge turnout is expected for a special show like this.

Street stocks are popular up at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. While there is not a weekly championship series at Marysville, a solid group of cars are expected to get one final chance to race before the season ends. Chris Warner and Eddie Hammett are top caliber drivers expected to show.

Hobby Stocks are on the schedule but car count had dwindled to zero late in the season. The Speedway is hopeful to see an influx of drivers attend this final showdown.

Bring the family out for a great night of food, racing and good times. Marysville Raceway is excited to host this end of the season event.
