The Show Will Go On
Marysville, CA (March 26, 2019) – Last weekend didn’t go as planned. With over 60 cars in the pit area and the grandstand crowd waiting in line to get in, an unexpected storm passed through the Marysville area soaking the track and pit area. From that moment on, the staff worked relentlessly in trying to still put on a show. Dedicated push truck driver are volunteers and worked hard with the track prep crew to work in the moisture accumulated on the track. Countless laps around the track were made for the next few hours to try and help. Inside the front gate, all employees worked hard to get rid of the water that had puddled up.
Once the area was dry enough, the fans were let in and the concessions got busy. It was quite the sight to see everyone working together in hopes of putting on another entertaining night of auto racing. Unfortunately, the track was never able to get dry enough for the cars to race on. At 8 PM promoter Dennis Gage had no other choice but to cancel. It was a heroic effort by everyone involved and, in the end, they should be commended for their effort.
With that said, this Saturday night, March 30th, the show will go on. The winged 360 sprints, Super Street Stocks, Crate Sprints and Hobby Stocks are certain to delight the grandstand crowd. The four divisions will feature good car counts and plenty of accomplished drivers.
The pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Race cars on the track at 6 PM.
Adult admission into the grandstands is $13.00. Juniors, seniors and military with ID are just $11.00. Kids 6-11 are $6 and five and under are FREE. A family pass for $40 gets two adults and two juniors or three kids 11 and under into the grandstands. As always, parking is FREE.
