Rain Forces Cancellation of Saturday’s Race at Marysville
Marysville, CA (May 17, 2019) – A series of storms has saturated Northern California this week and with more wet weather predicted for the weekend, the staff at Marysville Raceway has decided to do what is in everyone’s best interest and cancel Saturday night’s show. Rain soaked the Raceway and pit area this week. “We’ve been down this road too many times before,” said Promoter Dennis Gage. “This year has been a struggle to try and guess what Mother Nature is doing. However, looking at all the forecasts and talking with fellow promoters, we decided to cancel tomorrow’s race on May 18th. We try and present the best show we can, but natures forces continue to pop up obstacles for a safe and enjoyable night of racing.”
The weather looks more favorable next weekend. The Raceway is excited to host two great shows. The first one being on Saturday May 25th featuring the lone appearance of the All Star Modifieds. Joining them will be the IMCA Pepsi Sport Mods and Crate Sprints.
On Sunday night, May 26th, the annual tribute to former promoter Mel Hall will feature the California Civil War Sprint Car Series and a point race for the IMCA Pepsi Sport Mods.
