Paul Hawes Memorial Sprint Car Spooktacular This Saturday; $2,500 to Win 360 Sprint Car Main
(Marysville, CA 10/23/23)…The original Sprint Car Spooktacular, returns this Saturday night, October 28th. This long running event features an all-open wheel division of race cars. Led by the popular winged 360 sprints, the track will also host Crate Sprints, Wingless Spec Sprints, and Lightning Sprints. “These four divisions are a great way to close out the racing season at Marysville Raceway,” said track president Dennis Gage. “It has been an amazing year of racing, and we are thrilled to host the last race of the season in honor of my friend and former promoter of this great facility, Paul Hawes.”
Once again, H&H Trenching is presenting the Paul Hawes Memorial this Saturday night, part of the Sprint Car Spooktacular tribute to Halloween. With the generosity of Jeremy Hawes and H&H Trenching, extra money has been added to the overall purse this Saturday night, October 28th. “We are thankful for Jeremy and offering the bonus money to the competitors this Saturday night,” said Gage. “Paul and his wife Kathy were the backbone of this facility for many years, and we are happy to continue their vision. I know they are proud of Jeremy and his financial support of this race.”
With the extra money from Hawes, the winner of the winged 360 sprint car race will now pay $2,500. Extra money will also be trickled down throughout the top five in the main event. Other divisions will earn extra bonus money dependent on the car counts.
An earlier start time for this Saturday night event has been posted. The pit gate opens at 2:00 PM. Driver’s meeting at 4:30 PM with cars on the track at 5 PM. Front gate is still slated to open at 5 PM. Adult tickets are $20.00, Seniors 62+ and Juniors (12-15) are $17.00. Military with active-duty card is $17.00. Kids (6-11) are just $10.00. Kids FIVE and UNDER are FREE. As always, parking for the grandstands is FREE.

Drivers are ENCOURAGED to bring candy to hand out to the kids in attendance. KIDS are also ENCOURAGED to wear their Halloween costumes. At the INTERMISSSION, drivers will come out to hand candy to the kids. We call it TRACK or TREAT.
A full spectrum of drivers is expected this Saturday night. Many of the top teams are ready to attack the action track of the west and put on an unforgettable show for the fans. “Let’s do it right this Saturday night and pack the grandstands,” said an optimistic Gage.
