The Toller Memorial Jumpstarts 2023 Season

The Sherm and Loree Toller Memorial This Saturday
(Marysville, CA 2/21/23) For the 15th time, the Sherm and Loree Toller Memorial will take place this Saturday, February 25 at the Action Track of the West, the Marysville Raceway. Nor Cal fans will get an early treat to see the winged 360 sprint cars, Crate Sprints, and wingless sprints all in action this Saturday. Dirt track racing was a Toller family favorite and both Sherm and Loree dedicated their lives to this sport either as a fan, or as a staff member of the Marysville Raceway. That love of the sport trickled down to their daughters who still attend this event and numerous other local races.
The Marysville Raceway crew has been hard at work in preparation of this event. Saturday is projected to be clear but cold. The start times have changed a bit. The pit gate will open at 1 pm. The front grandstand gate will open at 4 pm. Cars are scheduled to be on track at 4 pm also, with racing slated to start at 5 pm. The earlier start times are in hopes of getting the large crowd home earlier.
Adult tickets are $20.00. Juniors and seniors are just $17.00. Kids (6-11) are $10.00. Children 5 and under are free. Parking is always FREE. The track will have concessions open for this event. Marysville Raceway is located just off of Simpson Lane next to the Marysville Flea Market in the Yuba River flood plain. The ¼ mile clay oval has operated for more than 60 years at this location. Over time it has had numerous configurations and operators. Improvements over the last decade have made the facility rival any California oval track operation and draws a large contingent of racers and fans.
