Brian McGahan Jr. of Corning is starting to leave his competition in the dust. With his fifth consecutive top-five main event finish, McGahan Jr. leads Dawson Hammes by 37-points. While the battle for the top spot isn’t as close as it was, Hammes will need to rebound and hold off his younger brother Carson. These two siblings are only separated by a mere five-points. Koa Crane continues to be a factor and sits sixth points behind Carson. The 2021 track champion Billy Wallace has snuck into the top five and is 15-points behind Crane.
Crate Sprint Cars are taking over at Marysville Raceway. This past Saturday night the division produced 15 competitive cars and a highly entertaining 20-lap main event. Misty Castleberry won her second feature event of the year this past Saturday. She trails point leader Matthew Kaiser by just six points. Eight drivers have attended all four previous races. Carl Droivold has three top five finishes and is in third place. Jeff Macedo holds a one-point edge over Mike Ballentine for fourth.
The Hobby Stocks were added to this Saturdays show after the group lost a complete night of racing after the May 6th cancellation due to stormy weather. This Saturday will mark the fifth point race of the year for the Hobby Stocks. Oroville’s Zach Lindgren leads the way with two wins and a 12-point edge over defending track champion Howard Law. Sitting in third in Kyle Cheney. Both Law and Cheney each have wins this year. Joe Gillock holds a firm grasp of fourth. Sebastian Davis rounds out the top five.
The well rounded, always respected Dwarf Cars are headed to Marysville this Saturday. Everyone knows the Dwarf Cars bring a large car count filled with talented veteran drivers who always seem to have the knack for producing great racing. They seem to be the perfect fit for the Marysville Raceway.

Marysville Raceway is located just off Simpson Lane next to the Marysville Flea Market in the Yuba River flood plain. The ¼ mile clay oval has operated for more than 60 years at this location. Over time it has had numerous configurations and operators. Improvements over the last decade have made the facility rival any California oval track operation and draws a large contingent of racers and fans.
