Action Packed Racing This Saturday Night
Marysville, CA (June 25, 2019) – If you want action then you need to be at the Marysville Raceway this Saturday night. Four action-packed divisions will invade and conquer the historic Marysville Raceway June 29th. The always entertaining Dwarf Car travelers lead the show. Joining them are the wild winged 360 sprints, Crate Sprints and the Hobby Stocks.
The pit gate will open at 3 PM while the front grandstand gate opens at 5 PM. Race cars on the track at 6 PM.
Adult admission into the grandstands is $13.00. Juniors, seniors and military with ID are just $11.00. Kids 6-11 are $6 and five and under are FREE. A family pass for $40 gets two adults and two juniors or three kids 11 and under into the grandstands. As always, parking is FREE.
Chico’s Michael Ing continues to hold the top spot in the winged 360 sprint car standings. Ing is 25-points ahead of Yuba City’s Korey Lovell. Reno’s Mike Monahan sits third. Nevada City’s Pat Harvey is fourth. Gridley’s Alec Justeson is fifth.
What a resurgence the Hobby Stock division has seen. In only four-point shows, 35 different competitors have earned championship points. That is a record number of drivers up to this point in the season. What’s more impressive is the fact that 17 drivers have attended all four-point shows. Leading their charge is Sacramento’s Brian Compton with two wins and a total of 145 points. Jesse Van Roekel is doing a fantastic job this season and holds down the second spot. Defending series champions Shannon Collins sits third.
Grass Valley’s Brett Youngman sits in the top spot of the Crate Sprints weekly point battle. Upstart Kiely Ricardo holds down the second spot. Cameron Haney Jr. continues to impress and sits third. Darren Johnson missed the most recent point race and fell back to fourth.
The traveling Dwarf Car series continues to showcase great racing and large car counts. This Marysville Raceway fan favorite will compete in heat races and a full field for their 20-lap main event. Also, the Dwarf Cars bring their traditional frisbee toss into the grandstands during opening ceremonies. This group really understands who to put on a show for the grandstand fans.
After Saturday’s race, the staff will need to do a quick turnaround because four days later we will host the Fast Cars and Freedom Fireworks and Auto Racing on Wednesday July 3rd.
